Individuals who misbehave with employees should face action: AOAN
KATHMANDU, Oct 06:The Airlines Operators Association of Nepal (AOAN) condemned the incident of unrestricted propaganda reaching the Tribhuvan Airport counter and office, as well as indecent treatment of employees saying that the tickets were sold at an excessive rate.
On Wednesday, the AOAN issued a statement demanding that those involved in the incident be identified and legal action taken, saying that even though the air tickets were sold at the government-set rate, they were mislead.
"As the air service is sensitive, this type of activity will have an adverse effect on air safety, so it is requested that all relevant agencies be vigilant and discourage this type of incident," according to a statement.
The AOAN stated that it is reprehensible that such events occurred to airline employees who are working around the clock in passenger service while roads and communication networks have been entirely shut off owing to the country's relentless rains for several days.
"If the safety of the flight staff cannot be fully guaranteed, then all regular flights will have to be suspended due to security reasons," according to a statement.
