Hotel Association Pokhara, Nepal expresses grief over loss of life and property due to rain-induced disasters
POKHARA, Oct 01:The Hotel Association Pokhara Nepal (HAPN) has expressed grief over the loss of life and property due to floods and landslides in various areas of the country, as well as the continued rains over the previous few days.
The HAPN offered deepest condolences to those who died in such tragedies that occurred around the country, including the capital valley, as well as to their relatives, injured, and family members.
We would like to propose that the government and relevant parties offer proper treatment to those injured in the accident and expedite search and rescue activities for those who have gone missing.The HAPN wants to draw the government's attention to the need to offer sufficient relief and accommodation to the families of the deceased as well as disaster victims.
The HAPN has also urged the general public to be informed of the Meteorological Department's rainfall and flood forecasts and to act in a spirit of mutual peace and collaboration throughout this calamity. Furthermore, the government and related organizations have been asked to reopen closed highways and roads as quickly as possible in order to restore traffic and focus on the rebuilding of damaged bridges and structures.
Many roads have been shut as a result of floods and landslides, emphasizing the significance of air service. As a result, the HAPN has also recommended that airline companies supply as many discounted tickets as possible to travelers during this time of tragedy and misfortune. Similarly, governments at all levels have been urged to put in place the appropriate structures, planning, and accurate information systems to deal with disasters such as floods and landslides.
