Holiday Inn Express Kathmandu Celebrates 'Giving for Good' Month with a Series of Heartfelt Initiatives

KATHMANDU, Sep 30:Giving for Good Month (September)—a celebration of kindness, compassion, and giving back to the community. It’s a time when IHG colleagues from around the world join forces to give back and create meaningful change for thousands of people around the globe to show the world just what true hospitality for good means to us all at IHG. 

Holiday Inn Express Kathmandu launched a series of impactful, community-focused activities, each embodying the spirit of compassion, giving, and unity. As part of IHG’s global initiative, these events aimed to foster connections, support those in need, and make a positive difference in the local community. 
 
Sip & Support: Brewing Hope with Every Cup 

During September, each drink ordered at Holiday Inn Express Kathmandu directly supported a local charity. This initiative offered guests a meaningful way to contribute to a worthy cause while enjoying their favorite meal in the hotel. The funds raised will be used to purchase stationery and educational materials for underprivileged and orphaned students at Tri-Padma Vidyashram Secondary School. 
 
Hike, Heal, and Clean: A Journey of Wellness and Preservation 

On September 21st, the hotel team embarked on the "Hike, Heal, and Clean" adventure, exploring the stunning Shivapuri trails. This activity fostered wellness and teamwork among employees while reinforcing the hotel's dedication to preserving the natural environment. During the hike, the team cleaned the trails, collecting plastic bottles and litter, promoting awareness about maintaining a litter-free area and emphasizing the importance of environmental conservation and preservation  
 
Table of Hope: An Evening of Music, Dinner, and Giving Back 
 
On 27th September, Holiday Inn Express Kathmandu proudly hosted the exclusive "Table of Hope" event— a heartwarming and an inspiring evening evening that blended live music, exquisite gourmet, and the spirit of giving. 
 
Guests purchased tickets to indulge in a delightful evening, knowing their participation was contributing to a meaningful cause. More than just a celebration, the event served as a powerful reminder of how collective efforts can drive positive change. 

All proceeds from the evening, totaling NPR 2,95,000 (Two Lakhs Ninety-Five Thousand), were donated to the Nepal Children’s Organization (Balmandir). The cheque was handed over by the Board of Directors of Swornim Boutique Hotel and the General Manager of Holiday Inn Express Kathmandu, Mr. Karthi VK. This generous contribution will directly support the organization’s ongoing efforts to provide education, shelter, and care to underprivileged and orphaned children across Nepal.  

Through the "Table of Hope," the hotel not only fostered a sense of community and generosity but also made a meaningful impact on the lives of those in need. This special gathering stands as a testament to the power of collective giving, proving that when everyone comes together with a shared vision of compassion, they can truly make a difference. 

Sweet Sundays: Sharing Smiles with the Disabled Rehabilitation Center, Nepal 

Starting from September 2024 through September 2025, Holiday Inn Express Kathmandu will deliver freshly baked pastries to the Disabled Rehabilitation Center in Gokarneshwor, Nepal, on the first Sunday of every month. These "Sweet Sundays" aim to bring warmth and joy to the children who need it most, reflecting the hotel’s commitment to spreading kindness and the spirit of hospitality throughout the community 
 
A Taste of Joy: Dining Experience for Underprivileged Children of Tri-Padma Vidyashram Secondary School 

Holiday Inn Express Kathmandu proudly hosted a special dining experience for the underprivileged and orphaned children of Tri-Padma Vidyashram Secondary School. More than just a meal, this event offered the children a chance to experience the warmth and elegance of hospitality. The goal was to create lasting memories, allowing the children to enjoy a hotel dining experience while reminding them that they are cherished members of the community.
