KATHMANDU, Sep 30: Airlines companies decided not to sell tickets at the increased airfare rates until next Wednesday.

According to Manoj Karki, President of the Airlines Operators Association of Nepal (AOAN), it has been decided not to sell tickets at the government-imposed higher tariffs from Monday to Wednesday.

The government has set a price limits for domestic airline tickets. When there are a limited number of tickets available, airlines sell them for an additional price.

The airline faced criticism on Sunday after placing all tickets on sale at higher prices.Airline companies have also called attention to the issue, claiming that if the government provides a discount on air fuel, they will be able to offer lower-cost flying services to passengers.
