Contribution of tourism sector is important to improve economy : Acting PM Singh

KATHMANDU, Sep 28:Acting Prime Minister Prakash Man Singh has stated that tourism plays an important role in growing Nepal's economy.

On Friday, he spoke at an event organized by the Ministry of Culture, tourism, and Civil Aviation to mark the 45th World Tourism Day, discussing the tourism sector's contribution to Nepal's economy.

However, he stated that the situation is not good and that the government will assist the necessary measures to boost the contribution of the tourism sector in the future.

The tourism sector has made a significant contribution to Nepal's economy. "How can the contribution of this sector to the total domestic product be increased?" he asked. The government will make conducting business easier.

He stated that Nepal is becoming an appealing location for adventure tourism, trekking, mountain climbing, and sky diving, and that we should do whatever is best for it.

He stated that the government will work to establish conditions that allow private sector tourism businesses to operate.
