IME concludes mega-campaign "IME Garau Crorepati Banau" and launches a new campaign "IME Garau Uddhyami Banau"
KATHMANDU: IME Limited has officially concluded its "IME Garau Crorepati Banau" mega campaign, announcing Ms. Pramila Rokaya as the bumper prize winner.
Ms. Rokaya, who had sent remittances from Japan to Nepal through KYODAI Remittance, was selected as the bumper prize winner. The winner was chosen via a lucky draw hosted by IME’s Brand Ambassador, renowned actress Ms. Deepashree Niraula, at an event held in Kathmandu on 23 September, 2024. Following the announcement, Chairman of IME Limited Mr. Hem Raj Dhakal congratulated Ms. Rokaya and expressed his gratitude to all stakeholders of IME.
The "IME Garau, Crorepati Banau" campaign aimed to promote the formal flow of remittances into Nepal. Launched last year, the campaign offered a bumper prize of NPR 1 crore to one lucky individual who sent remittances using formal means through IME channels. In addition, one lucky winner received cash prize of NPR 1 lakh every month throughout the campaign period. The campaign was open to anyone who sent remittances via IME to the IME Pay wallet, bank accounts, or IME agents in Nepal.
At the same event, IME Limited also launched its new mega campaign, "IME Garau Uddhyami Banau," aimed at encouraging formal remittances and fostering entrepreneurship in Nepal. All IME customers who send money using any modes of payment (Cash, Bank Deposit, and IME Pay wallet) from all over the world are eligible to participate in the Campaign.
The campaign is divided into two phases. The first phase, titled "Yo Chaad Parwa IME Garau Uddhyami Banau," is a festival-focused campaign offering attractive gifts on daily, weekly and monthly basis. The second Phase, titled "IME Garau Udhami Banau," is a year-long campaign featuring the bumper prize in every three months.
1. Daily: One lucky winner will receive an Ultima earbud for promoting IME’s campaign on their social media.
2. Weekly: One lucky winner will receive a home appliance (TV, refrigerator, or washing machine) from DHI Home Appliances, with a total of 12 weekly winners.
3. Monthly: One lucky winner will receive an iPhone 16, with three winners in total during the campaign period.
4. Bumper prize: Three lucky winners will receive a Dost pick-up truck.
Announcing the new campaign, Chairman Dhakal emphasized the importance of linking remittances with entrepreneurship for the sustainable economic growth in Nepal.
Chairman Dhakal underscored that the skills acquired abroad are crucial to foster entrepreneurship within Nepal. The campaign has been launched with an effort of motivating migrant workforce to earn, save, and start their own businesses in Nepal, he further highlighted. He urged migrant workers and remittance-receiving households to utilize remittances in the productive sector to ensure a sustainable growth.
IME Limited’s CEO, Mr. Diwakar Paudel, expressed his belief that this campaign will act as a catalyst to encourage customers to use formal remittance channels and invest in enterprises, further boosting the use of IME Pay for digital transactions.
The campaign runs from 23 September, 2024 to 16 August, 2025.
