SriLankan Airlines wins 'Leading International Airline in South Asia' at SATA 2024

KATHMANDU, Sep 27:SriLankan Airlines got the Gold Award for 'Leading International Airline—South Asia' at SATA 2024.

For the past 45 years, SriLankan Airlines has operated direct and networked flights to 113 locations across 59 countries.  

In order to connect the island nation with the Himalayan nation, SriLankan Airlines began operating flights to Kathmandu, in 2021.

SriLankan  Airlines have been flying directly from Nepal to Sri Lanka for the past three years. Kathmandu-Colombo and Colombo-Kathmandu airlines operate direct flights five days a week.

The 8th South Asian Travel Awards (SATA) were hosted in Kathmandu, with winners announced on September 20 at a distinguished Gala and Awards ceremony at the Aloft Kathmandu Thamel hotel.

SATA 2024 was hosted in Kathmandu, with support from the Nepal Tourism Board and the Hotel Association Nepal. The SATA awards celebrate outstanding service and innovation in the hospitality sector.
