Buddha Air expands its Varanasi flights

KATHMANDU, Sep 24:Buddha Air, a private sector airline company of Nepal, has extended its weekly commercial flights from Kathmandu to Varanasi, India, from two to three. 

Buddha, which was previously flying on Mondays and Fridays of the week, will now fly three times a week.

The airline now conducts flights from Tribhuvan International Airport on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

The company stated that the three flights each week will provide more help to travelers.

Buddha Holidays, a sister company of Buddha Air, has also provided vacation packages to various destinations around Varanasi, Sarnath, and Ayodhya.

This flight will also help passengers travel to Gaya, India, to perform Sohra Sraddha. Sohra Sraddha is a 16-day period in the Hindu calendar during which people homage their ancestors. 

Varanasi may be reached in 50 minutes via Buddha Air.

The one-way fare from Kathmandu to Varanasi is Rs 11,360.

Flights depart from Kathmandu at 7:15 a.m. and Varanasi at 8:30 a.m.
