Hotel infrastructure plays an important role in overall development of country's tourism sector:Minister Bhandari

KATHMANDU, Sep 14: Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies Damodar Bhandari has said that hotel infrastructure plays a vital role in holistic development of the country's tourism sector.     

While inaugurating the hotelier summit organized by Capital Nepal Business Magazine here on Friday, he emphasized on the development and expansion of tourism infrastructure and promotion of local products.     

Minister Bhandari said that the government is committed to creating an investment-friendly environment through policy reforms. He said, "The first priority of the government is to change the current challenges into a possibilities by identifying, coordinating and cooperating with policy reforms."     

Minister Bhandari urged the banks and financial sector to invest in tourism sector adding that it was the most promising sector in the country.     

He further argued that the investment in infrastructure sectors should be increased to extend the mobility in tourism business. Minister Bhandari said that the government was eager to work together with private sectors to boost the tourist business.
