Bishal Rai wins title Timbung Pokhari Trail Run

KATHMANDU, Sep 14:Bishal Rai of Phidim 14 of Panchthar won the title of the first Timbung Pokhari Trail  Run  on Wednesday.

Pingso Namgyal Bhotia of Sikkim, India took second place, then Bharat Baniya of Sidingwa Rural Municipality-1 in third place.

Thirty participants, including three women, took part in the Timbung Pokhari Trail Run, which was organized to promote tourism in the Timbung Pokhari area at an elevation of 4,335 meters. The 7.8-kilometer race began at Timbung Pokhari and ended in Pangduwa.

The Timbung Pokhari Conservation Committee held a competition, and the first, second, and third place winners each won certificates and worth Rs 30,000, Rs 20,000, and Rs 10,000.

Similarly, Nikki Nembang of Falgunand-5 Panchthar was the first of the three female participants to complete the specified distance and was awarded 10,000 in cash.
