Domestic airlines reduce fuel surcharge

KATHMANDU, Sep 08:The fuel surcharge on aviation fuel has been reduced based on the destination as an effect of Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) reducing the price of aviation fuel.

NOC has decreased the price of aviation fuel by five rupees per liter, while  Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has reduced the fuel surcharge based on destination.

The CAAN reduced the fuel surcharge effective last Tuesday.

Lukla and Phaplu have the least decreases of 20 rupees, while Biratnagar-Nepalganj has the most decrease of 265 rupees.

According to the CAAN's reduced fuel surcharge, airline companies will now fly at a reduced price of airfare.
