All of the planes will operate at full capacity before Dashain: NAC
KATHMANDU, Sep 04:Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) announced that both of its narrow-body aircraft are in regular flights.
The NAC's international flights feature two narrow-body aircraft from the A320-200 series and two wide-body aircraft from the A330-243 series built by Airbus.
According to the NAC, both the Lumbini (narrow body 9N AKX call sign) and the Sagarmatha (9N AKW call sign) aircraft are in flight. The 9N ALY widebody Annapurna and 9N ALZ Makalu aircraft are in Italy for routine C-checks.
The NAC has selected an Italian MRO company for routine maintenance on the wide body. The Annapurna (9N ALY) aircraft will arrive in Nepal for regular flights on September 7 after completing repairs, according to the NAC.
Another NAC wide-body aircraft, 9N ALZ (Makalu), flew to Italy for a C-check on August 28, thus its arrival will take roughly a month. The NAC has also stated that all four international flights will operate at full capacity before Dashain.
The NAC has informed us that one of the two Twin Otter aircraft on domestic flights is on regular service, while the other is having engine replacement, so that aircraft will fly in Dashain.
