Tourism Minister Pandey demanded clarification from NAC Chairman Adhikari
KATHMANDU, Sep 04:The government asked for Yuvraj Adhikari, chairman of Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC), to provide an 11-point explanation for why two widebody aircraft were sent for C-check at the same time, disrupting operations.
Tourism Minister Badriprasad Pandey has demanded an explanation, along with a 7-day deadline, for the fact that two widebody aircraft were sent for C-check at the same time, causing service disruption.
The Ministry has demanded that the Ministry submit to the Ministry within 7 days after receiving the explanation letter noting that the NAC's shortcomings and negligence continue in the same pattern, and the business performance level is poor.
Although the NAC's leadership should sustain Nepal's presence and make it secure, dignified, competitive, and profitable, the government claims that the NAC's reputation is also being harmed as a result of the chairman's neglect, ineptitude, and inefficiency.
The government has requested that the presiding officer produce a written explanation of the 11 issues, including objective basis, reasoning, and evidence, within 7 days.
