KATHMANDU, Aug 30:In a pioneering move for the hospitality sector in Nepal, Soaltee Enterprises, the founding company of Soaltee Hotel, has announced a strategic partnership with the Global Academy of Tourism and Hospitality (GATE) College. This collaboration was finalized by Soaltee Enterprises acquiring 35% of the college. Soaltee aims to use this united effort to enhance hospitality education and provide aspiring hoteliers with unique skills necessary for success in the industry.
Khem R. Lakai, Founder and CEO of GATE College, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, “I want to inspire the new generation to explore the world and gain skills to give back to the community. We are coming together to enhance the hospitality industry in Nepal.” His vision underscores the importance of equipping students with the tools they need to thrive and contribute positively to society.
Sudarshan Chapagai, Vice President of Soaltee Hotel, elaborated on the partnership's goals, saying, “We came to a consensus to join hands as investment partners. The partnership will rebrand GATE College as "Soaltee Gate College" while enhancing the institution's ability to offer world-class hospitality management education.
