"Ceramics and pottery are celebrated in Europe, and I hope these children can make it their profession to secure a future for themselves," she remarked, expressing her gratitude to the Marriott team and emphasizing the importance of private sector contributions to society.

Vishal Mehra, General Manager of Fairfield by Marriott Kathmandu, expanded on the hotel's commitment to deliver more than just great hospitality. He noted their commitment to serving children with special needs and fostering an inclusive setting. “Handing over pottery machines empowers them to shape a brighter future with their own hands,” said Mehra. He also touched on previous projects the hotel has taken, such as a Christmas event to help HIV-positive children and hiring employees with disabilities. He also proudly expressed delight regarding the recent art market on August 3rd and announced another one slated for September 7.

Artbeat Art School had Juju Maharjan expressing his thoughts that this project will most definitely make a difference. Referencing past events, such as the popular clay art that attracted over 1,000 children. He explained that this program is not only a one-time project, but it will also help blind children in the future to develop artistic skills.

Nuri Fhatima Azam, Marketing and Communication Executive at Fairfield, added that the initiative is part of a broader effort to support children’s homes and schools over the past six months. She emphasized the incredible abilities of blind children and their potential in tactile art. "We are committed to delivering safe and easy-to-use pottery-making instruments," Azam said, highlighting the importance of enabling these children to express themselves creatively.
