Preparations are underway to open Dharahara: DPM Singh
KATHMANDU, Aug 21: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Urban Development, Prakashman Singh, has said that the government is preparing to open the Dharahara soon for the public.
During an interaction with journalists of infrastructure development beat at the Ministry in Singh Durbar today, he informed that the government is going to make arrangements so that people can enjoy view from the Dharahara within 100 days.
He expressed his belief that even though all the works of the tower have not been completed necessary arrangements for those who want to climb the tower will be made soon. "The government will make arrangements within 100 days for those who want to climb the tower. We are working to open some parts of Dharahara, but not all," said Deputy Prime Minister Singh.
While saying that the new city construction process was delayed when the government was unstable earlier, he said that the work of securing and organizing the new city will go ahead as the two major parties in the parliament have formed the government.
Deputy Prime Minister Singh further shared that the ministry is carrying out necessary discussions with the local level for waste management in Kathmandu Valley.
