Air fares will be uniform for domestic and international tourists: Tourism Minister Pandey

KATHMANDU, Aug 21:Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation Badri Prasad Pandey has said that they are going to maintain the same airfares for both domestic and international travelers.

He made this statement when speaking during a National Assembly meeting. He stated that the government is taking this situation very seriously.

He also stated that a favorable decision would be made to restore uniformity to plane ticket costs. He remarked that the budget for the tourism industry is still inadequate.

He stated that by following the tourist strategy plan from 2016 to 2025 and the Nepal Visit Decade, the goal is to attract 1.6 million tourists this year.

He stated that seven provinces and seven destination programs, including Eco Hill Tourism, were included in this year's budget, which targeted all seven provinces.

He stated that the Nepal Tourism Board has implemented promotional programs such as road shows to attract tourists from India and China. He stated that a fund has been provided to find new tourism locations, and that a process has begun in collaboration with the Ministry of Industry, Commerce, and Supply to develop hotels as a national priority industry.

He stated that he places a high importance and priority on the generation and growth of skilled labor in the tourism industry.
