Demand to facilitate hotel and guest house registration

KATHMANDU, Aug 14:Hotel and guest house owners have asked the government to simplify the company registration process.

They expressed this demand during the Ekta Hotel and Guest House Business Association's 12th general meeting on Saturday. They claim that under the guise of monitoring, bringing unnecessary anguish to hotel and guest house company owners has harmed their self-esteem.

Saroj, president of the association, stated during the general meeting that the economic downturn has made doing business difficult.

We are contributing significantly to the promotion of tourism in the country. However, the complex registration process forces businessmen to endure unneeded problems. "It is hassle to register from the local level to the central government agencies," he explained.

He stated that in order to monitor businessmen who are inflicting undue hardship, the government at all levels should create an atmosphere in which businessmen can conduct their operations in a polite and orderly manner.
