Govt forms a three -member probe commission to investigate Air Dynasty helicopter crash
KATHMANDU, Aug 07:The government has decided to formed a commission to investigate the Air Dynasty helicopter crash.
The meeting of the Council of Ministers convened at the Office of Prime Minister and Council of Ministers at Singha Durbar on Wednesday expressed sorrow over the crash and decided to form a committee to probe it.
The Investigation Committee is led by Subash Thapa, senior pilot at the Nepali Army, shared Minister for Communications and Information Technology and spokesperson, Prithvi Subba Gurung.
Bishnu Basnet and Tanuja Pokharel, both aeronautical engineers, will serve on the committee. The commission has been given 30 days to investigate the incident and submit its report.
Five people-four Chinese and a Nepali pilot-were onboard the helicopter that crashed at Suryachaur of Shivapuri Rural Municipality - 7, Nuwakot.
The pilot of the helicopter was Captain Arun Malla.
Chinese nationals Tang Jutao (PP No. ED1857162, Chinese), Wu Yiyao (PP No. EK4497014, Chinese), Li Jie (PP No. EC7310843, Chinese) and Xie Zeming (PP No. EK1374217). were on board.
