HAN holds memorial for late former President Shyam Bahadur Pandey

KATHMANDU, Aug 07:The Hotel Association Nepal (HAN) held a memorial service on Monday to honor their former president, the late Shyam Bahadur Pandey. The event at Hotel Ambassador in Kathmandu saw the attendance of hotel entrepreneurs, HAN officials, and representatives from various organizations, including the Nepal Tourism Board.

HAN’s president and executive committee members, along with several hotel entrepreneurs and association representatives, paid tribute to Pandey by offering flowers to his photograph.

 

Mr Binayak Shah, president of Hotel Association Nepal read out the mourning statement outlining the great contribution made by late Shyam Bahadur Panday in tourism industry in Nepal.

He remembered late Panday as a man of superb managerial acumen, visionary personality, innovator, trendsetter and change maker.

He expressed a derp sorrow on the passing of late Pandey, prayed for the repose of a soul and offered heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.

Yogendra Shakya, former President of HAN said that reflecting on his experiences with Pandey, remembered him as a meticulous and pioneering figure in the hotel industry.

Narendra Bajracharya, former President of HAN  praised Pandey's significant contributions to Nepal’s tourism sector, highlighting his unwavering patriotism, selfless service, and enduring vision for fraternity. Bajracharya expressed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.

RR Pandey, recalling his long-term collaboration with Pandey, highlighted how Shyam Bahadur Pandey’s support extended beyond his tenure, guiding and advising subsequent presidents of HAN. He remembered Pandey’s struggle and dedication in establishing various projects and his friendly, warm interactions that left a lasting impact on colleagues.

The memorial underscored Pandey’s legacy of resilience and vision, inspiring the industry to move forward. The event concluded with heartfelt tributes from his family, honoring his contributions and lasting impact.
