Make tourism industry sustainable with necessary policy reforms: Minister of Tourism Pandey

KATHMANDU, Aug 04:Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation Badri Prasad Pandey committed to implement the necessary modifications to the law to ensure the sustainability of the tourism industry.

Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation Badri Prasad Pandey is committed to implement the required legislative changes to ensure the sustainable of the tourism industry.

In an event hosted by the Nepal tourism Board (NTB) to welcome Tourism Minister Pandey, Minister Pandey stated that the Ministry is prepared to implement policy and structural reforms to advance the tourist sector.  He directed the board to ensure tourism's sustainable through strongly public-private partnerships.

Minister Pandey noted that tourism has enormous potential in Nepal and underlined that by utilizing the special potential that nature offers for tourism, the industry's contribution to the country's economic development should be improved. He directed the NTB to ensure tourism's sustainable through strongly public-private partnerships.

Minister Pandey was welcomed by Dr. Ganesh Prasad Pandey, Secretary of the Ministry of Tourism and Chairman of the Board, Vice Chairman of the NTB Kamal Sapkota, Senior Director Hikmat Singh Ayer, members of the Board's Board of Directors and others.

During a presentation on the NTB's operations, Ayer, the Senior Director of the NTB, stated that the Board was unable to conduct programs abroad because of certain policy issues. He asked Minister Pandey to help with the program, stating that policy and procedural facilitation will enable more successful projects to be carried out outside.
