Miss Malta and Team Welcomed at the Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation
KATHMANDU, July 31:Miss Malta 2024, Ms. Cherise Spiteri, along with Miss Tourism and Miss Top Model, and their team, were warmly welcomed at the Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation in Nepal by the Honourable Minister, Mr. Badri Pandey, and other distinguished leaders. The Honourable Minister greeted them with traditional khada and tika, expressing his gratitude for their visit. He emphasized that this visit would strengthen bilateral relations between Malta and Nepal, fostering both people-to-people connections and cooperation between the two nations.
The program was facilitated by Prakash Bhandari, Tourism Promoter for Malta; Som Sapkota, Tourism Promoter and Vice President of the Malta-Nepal Chamber of Commerce and Friends Association; and Rems Khanal, President of NRNA NCC Malta.
The Honourable Minister highlighted the potential for enhancing tourism in both countries and recommended that the Miss Malta team visit prominent destinations such as Pokhara and Chitwan. He pointed out that while Malta lacks mountains, Nepal's stunning landscapes would offer a unique experience. He expressed hope that their visit would promote Nepal's tourism among the Maltese people.
Miss Malta, Ms. Cherise Spiteri, expressed her thanks for the warm welcome and presented a token of appreciation to the minister and the other leaders. She remarked on the beauty of Nepal, noting that it exceeded her expectations.
The Miss Malta team is on a seven-day trip to Nepal, during which they will visit various tourist destinations, engage in social activities, support NGOs, and meet with government agencies and the tourism board. They will also document their activities to promote cultural exchange and tourism between Malta and Nepal. The Honourable Minister wished them a wonderful and memorable stay in Nepal.
