70 tourist guides got knowledge about Kirtipur region's heritage

KATHMANDU, July 31:The tourist guide has been informed on the tangible and intangible heritage of Kirtipur, a historical, cultural, and tourist destination in Kathmandu Valley.

Dr. Bajramuni Bajracharya, a heritage expert, informed to tourist guides about the Kirtipur region's tangible and intangible legacy during a program hosted by the Tourist Guide Association of Nepal (TURGAN) in Kirtipur on Friday.

He expressed his confidence that such training will assist to raise the Kirtipur region's profile both domestically and internationally. Thaneshwar Devkota, President of TURGAN, stated that the training was provided so that foreign tourists visiting Nepal could readily learn about Nepal's cultural legacy.

President Devkota stated that TURGAN intends to inform its guides about one World Heritage List each month.

The tourist guide for the Patan area had previously been informed. More than 70 tour guides attended the program.
