Bardiya National Park's 'Burhan Wilderness Camp: "Time Magazine selected of world's 100 greatest places in 2024

KATHMANDU, July 30:Time magazine published a list of the world's greatest places .

Nepal's Bardia National Park is also one of the greatest 100 places to visit in 2024. Time magazine put the park's Burhan Wilderness Camps on its list.

The "World's Greatest Places 2024" list was published on Thursday by the American magazine Time. For this, Time enlisted the assistance of correspondents and collaborators.

Burhan Wilderness Camps is situated in an important area of the Khata Wildlife Corridor near Bardiya.

It is operated by a team of passionate conservationists. Some notable wildlife species inhabit the area, including the one-horned rhinoceros, Bengal tiger, Asiatic elephants, and a variety of birds such as black ibis, ruddy shelduck, nightjar, and fisher owl.

Burhan Wilderness Camps in Bardiya National Park provides a wide range of activities.

Furthermore, Burhan Wilderness Camps is unique in that camping arrangements are made specifically for tourists. When there aren't any tourists, no one camps in the reservation.

Manoj Gautam, a conservationist, and his sister Prabha Gautam formed it to encourage recycling-oriented conservation. This has helped to maintain the local ecology and culture while also helping the local people more.

Last year, Burhan Wilderness Camps recorded more than 500 tourists visited.
