Morning offer on Lumbini cable car
KATHMANDU:Lumbini Cable Car has introduced a 'Morning Offer' on Mondays from July 29th to September 16th, when the ticket price is half off.
DN Kayastha Sainju, the cable car's operations manager, informed us that a morning offer has been introduced with a 50% discount on the normal ticket price for the purchase of tickets on eight Mondays from July 29th to September 16th.
The normal cable car ticket fee is 1000 rupees. According to this offer, visitors and devotees will just have to pay 500 rupees for a two-way cable car excursion. "The discount offer is only valid for tickets purchased between 8:30 AM and 12:00 PM, but ticket holders can ride the cable car whenever they want between noon and dusk," said Kayastha, the company's operations manager.
Aside from that, the old ticket rate was retained at other times. According to the company, this offer would allow the general people to take a low-cost cable car ride to the historic Shaktipeeth Kamakhya temple and Durga Mata temple, both of which have been venerated for hundreds of years, and offer water throughout the Shrawan month. According to the company, there is also an arrangement to provide water to Mahadev Shiva at Basantapur's top station in Shrawan. The morning discount is also available to Indian travelers, who can get tickets for INR 500.
This cable vehicle, the first in Lumbini province, has been operational since May 29, 2023. The Kamakhya Devi temple, established at the top station of the cable car, and the Durga Mata shrine, which has been revered for 100 years, have grown popular among Hindus. Manager Prajwal Ghimire stated that the number of tourists visiting the temple from various places in Uttar Pradesh is on the rise.
The top station features a zipline, sky riding, modern ping, a children's garden, Barpipal chowpari, a pond, and several religious sites. The cable car has been giving two percent of each ticket fee to Butwal sub-metropolitan city and Tinau rural municipality as service fee.
