Hotel Association Pokhara Nepal extends grief

POKHARA, July 27:The Hotel Association Pokhara Nepal has expressed its grief over the incidents in which dozens of people lost their lives in road and air accidents and natural disasters in Nepal in recent months.

In a statement issued by the president of the association, Lakshman Subedi, on Thursday, it is mentioned that the association was saddened by the loss of property caused by a landslide on the Narayangadh-Muglin road in Bharatpur Metropolitan City-29 Simaltal on the morning of 28 June.

Similarly, the accident of Saurya Airlines plane at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu on 9th of Shrawan, in which 18 people died, is equally sad. According to the statement, the association was shocked by the loss of many lives as a result of natural disasters such as floods and landslides in many districts of Nepal, including Kaski, as well as the rain.

The association would like to express its deepest condolences to the bereaved families while expressing their heartfelt condolences to those who lost their lives in the aforementioned incidents and accidents. Wishing the speedy recovery of those injured in the incident, the union would like to request the government to provide them with proper treatment. In addition, the association wants to appeal to the government to continue the search for those who have gone missing during accidents and calamities.

Taking into account such incidents, accidents and disasters that may happen in the future, the association has also drawn the attention of the government to keep the rescue mechanism, equipment and information system in good condition. The association has also requested the government and the private sector for the environment to move forward by taking into account the transportation means, their services and safety arrangements that operate on all routes, be it land, water or air.

By reminding the matter that tourism and other sectors are directly and indirectly affected by such incidents and accidents, the association has drawn the attention of the government to be alert in preparing for future incidents, accidents and disasters.
