Sher Bahadur Deuba, President of Nepali Congress, demanded that government make aviation security effective

KATHMANDU, July 25:Sher Bahadur Deuba, President of the Nepali Congress (NC), has demanded that the government strengthen aviation security.

On Wednesday at 11:11 a.m., a Saurya Airlines flight 9 N-AME/CRJ 200 crashed on route from Tribhuvan International Airport to Pokhara, killing 17 Nepalese and one foreign national. Captain Manish Shakya is being treated.

President Deuba expressed sadness over the Saurya Airlines plane crash.

He has requested that the government strengthen air security.

"I request the government to strictly implement the inspection, monitoring and security of the plane," Deuba told. "Heartiest tributes to those who died in the crash, condolences to the families and wishes for the recovery of the injured."
