HAN condoles demise of senior tourism entrepreneur Ambica Shrestha

KATHMANDU, July 18:Ambica  Shrestha, the Chair of Dwarika's Hotel, has passed away. She died on Thursday at the age of 92.  

The Hotel Association Nepal (HAN) has expressed its deep sorrow over the untimely passing of Ambica Shrestha, the founder of Dwarika's Hotel and an important figure in Nepal's tourism industry, and expressed its condolences to her family members.

The late Ambica Shrestha, who ran economically successful and well-equipped star hotel resorts while supporting Nepali art and culture, is credited with advancing women's entrepreneurship both in Nepal and overseas. His and his family's heritage hotels and resorts have helped to establish Nepal's brand on a global scale.

The HAN has declared that the country has lost a true pioneer of tourism development with the passing of Late  Shrestha, who was constantly active in promoting tourism in Nepal and offered strong leadership in different related associations.
