Dhurba Adhikari elected as president of Thamel Tourism Development Council

KATHMANDU, July 16:Dhurba Adhikari has been elected as president of the Thamel Tourism Development Council.

According to the vote count from the council's 28th and 29th annual general meetings and elections, which were concluded on Monday, Adhikari defeated Bhabiswor Sharma, another contender for president. Previously, Bhabiswor  Sharma served as chairman.

The winning Adhikari won 562 votes. Bhabiswor Sharma, his competitor, got 450 votes.

Umadevi Prasai, the Election Officer, announced that Rajiv Pandey, Sahdev Dhamala, and Shrikrishna Thapalia had won the three Vice Presidential positions.

Similarly, Badri Prasad Timialsina was elected as general secretary, Punyaram Lageju as secretary, and Prakash Thapaliya as treasurer.

Kopila Simkhada, Roshan Adhikari, Kumar Nepali, Binod Shrestha, Amrit Thokar (Lama), Sanukaji Maharjan, Ramesh Bishwokarma, and Badri Prasad Aryal were elected members.
