Art Centric: An Exhibition Celebrating Himalayan Thangka & Sculptures at Hyatt Place Kathmandu

KATHMANDU, July 13: Hyatt Place Kathmandu is currently hosting a prestigious art exhibition showcasing the exquisite art forms of Himalayan thangka paintings and sculptures. This unique event, presented in collaboration with Enlightenment Thangka and Shakya Mandala, explores the profound spiritual dimensions of Buddhist artistry.

Enlightenment Thangka, renowned for their mastery in Vajrayana art spanning over two decades, specializes in creating thangka paintings that serve as spiritual aids. The tradition of thangka painting, dating back 400 years, continues to thrive through their dedication and craftsmanship.

Shakya Mandala, a bastion of Nepalese craftsmanship and spiritual heritage, upholds the sacred Shakya lineage. Each of their meticulously crafted Buddhist statues carries the blessings of compassion and wisdom, embodying centuries-old traditions.

The exhibition commenced with an exclusive opening on July 5, 2024, graced by esteemed dignitaries including Air Chief Marshal Sudarshan Pathirana (Retd), Ambassador of Sri Lanka; H.E. PARK, Tae-Young, Ambassador of Korea; and representatives from the Consulates of Colombia, Luxembourg, as well as prominent figures from international NGOs and business communities.

Visitors to the exhibition will have the opportunity to view and appreciate these exclusive artworks from Enlightenment Thangka and Shakya Mandala until July 14, 2024. Entry to the exhibition is free, welcoming all art enthusiasts and spiritual seekers alike.
