Jyoti Bikas Bank promoted to post of Senior DCEO and AGM

KATHMANDU:Jyoti Bikas Bank Limited promoted candidates to the vacant positions of Senior Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Assistant General Manager via an internal competitive examination.

The bank has chosen to promote Prakash Baral to Senior Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Baldev Thapa to Assistant General Manager, effective July 16.

Baral, the recently appointed Senior Deputy Chief Executive Officer, has over 15 years of experience in senior management in the banking sector and has served as the bank's Deputy Chief Executive Officer for the previous 16 months.

Baral is a chartered accountant with successful senior management experience at Vidyo International of India, Nepal Bank, Prabhu Bank, and NIC Asia Bank. He is the previous CEO of NIC Asia Microfinance Financial Institution and the current Chairman of Jyoti Capital Limited.

Similarly, the newly appointed Assistant General Manager Thapa, who has over 19 years of experience and expertise in the banking sector, began his banking career at Nepal Bank and has gained extensive experience in a variety of banking functions at various commercial banks and national development banks.

Thapa has been with Jyoti Bikas Bank for seven years and is currently the Chief Operating Officer, Chief Marketing Officer, Head of the Human Resources Department, and Company Secretary.
