Nepal's tourism promotion program concluded in Gwangju, South Korea
KATHMANDU, June 27:The Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) has organized a tourism promotion program in Gwangju, South Korea in collaboration with the Embassy of Nepal in Seoul and the Korea Tours and Trekking Operator Association of Nepal (KTTOAN).
A Nepal tourism promotion program was organized in Gwangju, South Korea on Tuesday June 25 with a B2B meeting.
Speaking at the program, Deputy Chief of Mission and Minister Counsellor Pushparaj Bhattarai of the Embassy of Nepal in Seoul, said that the program organized by a group of Nepali and Korean tour operators will promote tourism between the two countries.
In a program organized on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Nepal-Korea diplomatic relations, he asked the tours operators of both countries to work together for the promotion of tourism in Nepal.
Expressing the commitment of the Government of Nepal to provide full support for the promotion of bilateral tourism between Nepal and Korea, he informed that he is hopeful that regular flights will be established between the two countries soon.
Similarly, Hikmat Singh Ayer, Senior Director of NTB said that the NTB organized a tourism promotion program after a long time in partnership with Embassy of Nepal in Seoul and KTTOAN.
He said that the program would provide a broad platform to highlight the potential of tourism promotion in the two countries.
On this occasion, he also gave two presentations on 'Destination Nepal' and 'Investment Opportunities in Nepal's Tourism Sector'.
Speaking on the closing occasion, KTTOAN Chairman Amar Bahadur Shahi urged all Korean tour operators to visit Nepal to experience the beauty of Nepal and the warm hospitality of its people.
More than 65 people including Nepali Travel and Tour Company participated in the program.
Before this event, the Nepal Sales Mission was held in May 2023 in Seoul and Busan. On June 27, 2024, a similar B2B event will also be held in Seoul
