TIA to be closed for 10 hours daily from November 8

KATHMANDU, June 26:Tribhuvan International Airport will be closed for 10 hours daily starting November 8th.

The airport office has stated that the airport must be closed due to ongoing work to extend the runway, taxiway, parkingway, and other areas.

According to the airport office, the Kathmandu airport would be closed on November 8th from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. It will last five months.

According to the TIA notification, from November 8th to March 31st, the airport will only be open 14 hours each day. Currently, Kathmandu Airport opens at 6 a.m. The airport operated until 2 am.

Airlines must alter their scheduled flight times because Kathmandu's airport closes at night.
