Kalika Bhagwati Temple collects over Rs 1.8 million in Jestha

BAGLUNG, June 24:1.8 million rupees have been collected during Jestha at Nepal's famed religious Shaktipeeth, Baglung Kalika Bhagwati Temple.

The revenue and expenditure statement for Jestha, produced by the Kalika Bhagwati Temple Guthi Management Committee, shows that Rs. 1.8 lakh 26 thousand was collected. The stated sum is the lowest of the current year. The Kalika Bhagwati Guthi Management Committee collected 58 lakh 24 thousand rupees during the Baisakh month alone.

According to Kumar Khadka, Chairman of the Kalika Guthi Management Committee, in Jestha, 18 lakh 26 thousand income and 1 million 21 thousand expenses resulted in a savings of 8 lakh 5 thousand. Khadka stated that a detailed research report (DPR) has been initiated for the construction of a Dharamshala at Baglung Municipality-1 Maldhunga to house devotees who visit the Baglung Kalika Bhagwati Temple. He said that Dharamshala will be built from the donation of the temple.
