Shree Airlines adds 80-seater aircraft to its fleet
KATHMANDU, June 23:Shree Airlines has added a new 80-seater aircraft to its fleet. On Saturday morning at 1 a.m., the aircraft with call sign 9N AOM landed in Kathmandu.
The private aviation company purchased a 'Q400 Dash 8' aircraft manufactured by De Havilland Aircraft of Canada Limited (DHC).The aircraft was previously operated by Horizon Air and Alaska Air in the United States.
The plane landed at Tribhuvan Airport after flying around 10,400 miles from America via Canada, Egypt, and Oman. Shree Airlines' pilots landed the aircraft in Kathmandu at 1 am on Saturday, following a 33-hour flight, said Anil Manandhar, spokesperson of Shree Airlines.
Shree Airlines, which began operations in 2017, currently operates ten aircraft, including the CRJ 200/700 and Q 400, to various destinations like as Bhadrapur, Biratnagar, Bhairahawa, Nepalgunj, Dhangadhi, Pokhara, and Surkhet.
