President Paudel urges Germany to remove ban on Nepali Airlines in Europe
KATHMANDU, June 22:President Ramchandra Paudel has urged the German government to lift the prohibition on Nepali aircraft in European skies. During his visit to Germany, he made the proposal during a meeting with his German counterpart, Frank Walter Steinmeier.
Foreign Secretary Sewa Lamsal informed President Paudel about his visit to Switzerland and Germany at Tribhuvan International Airport after his return on Wednesday morning. During his visit to Germany, President Paudel urged that Lufthansa Airlines resume service and that the ban on European flights be lifted.
She stated that she met with German President Dr. Frank Walter Steinmeier during her visit to Germany and addressed all elements of Nepal-Germany relations from both sides, with a focus on development cooperation, trade, investment, tourism, and professional training.
Lamsal informed the private sector about Germany's development goals, which included agriculture, tourism, and water resources, and urged them to cooperate and invest in these sectors.
