Bandipur cable car passenger rescue practice conducted
KATHMANDU, June 21:Bandipur Cable Car, located on Bandipur Hill in Tanahun district, has organized and completed a passenger rescue practice program to prepare for emergency rescues. The rescue drill program was attended by 87 people, including representatives from the internationally renowned company Udyogi Plastic International, the Nepali Army, the Armed Police Force, the District Police, and the company's Tanahun-based emergency response team.
The company claims to have organized this type of international rescue display with the objective of ensuring that passengers and tourists do not suffer during any future severe incidents or emergencies.
Bandipur Cable Car is one such company that has prioritized passenger and visitor safety by building additional motors, engines, and safety equipment in its cable car system for emergency rescue. In order to ensure visitor safety, the company has previously received the international quality and safety guarantee certificate TUV.
Executive Director Shiva Prasad Sharma stated that the cable car service was paused on Wednesday for a rescue practice because the cable car's popularity with tourists has surged since its commercial operation began on June 14th. According to General Manager Roman Man Shrestha, the regular cable car service has been operational since 10 a.m. on Thursday, including the last practice.
