KATHMANDU:Global IME Bank, established in 2006 with the slogan "Bank for All," has become a leader in Nepal's banking sector, known for its excellent services and strong financial performance. Led by Chairman Chandra Prasad Dhakal, the bank aspires to be among the world's top 1,000 banks.

In 2024, Global IME Bank became the first Nepali bank to win the "Best Bank Award" from Global Finance Magazine, highlighting its reliability, financial resource mobilization, service accessibility, strategic partnerships, and customer-friendly services. This recognition places it alongside global giants like HSBC, Bank of America, and State Bank of India.

The bank has won "Euromoney Award for Excellence - Best Bank Nepal 2022" and "Best Internet Bank 2016-Nepal" from International Finance Magazine. Global IME Bank was also the highest tax-paying institution among banks, contributing 3.2 billion rupees in taxes for the fiscal year 2078/79.
