Discount on transportation fares during the Bharatpur visit year
CHITWAN, June 20:A forty percent fare discount on public transportation in the Bharatpur Metropolitan City's main city area has been announced by the transport companies of Chitwan.
On the occasion of Bharatpur Visit Year 2024, it has been decided to reduce the fee for transportation on the Bharatpur Ring Road.
Chitwan Chhaahari Transport Services Pvt Ltd, Trinetra Transport Services Pvt Ltd, and Om Shanti Transport Services Pvt Ltd have declared that they will provide fare cuts.
Every day, 150 vehicles from this company fly between East Chitwan and Bharatpur.
Badri Prasad Paudel, Chairman of Chitwan Chhaahari Transport Services Pvt. Ltd., stated that the fare cut was implemented to encourage the visit year. He stated that the fare would be free for older folks over the age of 68.
Every three minutes, one of our vehicles travels along the Ring Road. Currently, we have decreased the rent to only Bharatpur. Paudel added, "We will gradually arrange discounts on transportation to various tourist destinations."
Renu Dahal, Mayor of Bharatpur Metropolitan City, announced that the fare discount has begun in the ring road region.
She stated that the discount packages are being presented in collaboration with the private sector during the visit year.
We have tried since the beginning to arrange discounts on hotels, transportation, trade, and business. Efforts are still being made in some regions," she stated. "The visit year will be successful with the collaboration of the municipal level and the private sector."
Deputy Mayor Chitrasen Adhikari stated that attempts are being made to reduce fares on all public transportation services in the metropolis.
Indradev Yadav, Chief District Officer, expressed his opinion that the transportation concession will boost tourism.
Bishwa Subedi, a metropolis tourism specialist, believes that transit businessmen will play a key part in bringing in 2 lakh foreign tourists and 5 lakh domestic tourists.
During the visit year, the metropolis promotes seven major tourist destinations and 21 tourist attractions.
