Tourism industry can assist reduce the trade deficit with India:Tourism Minister Tamang
KATHMANDU, June18:Hit Bahadur Tamang, Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, has stated that Nepal and India have a relationship that is not only political but also social.
He stated that the two countries' links are intertwined on many levels, including political, cultural, economic, and religious.
Minister Tamang addressed the Indo-Nepal Friendship and Economic Cooperation and Award Presentation program on Monday at the Hotel Malla, saying, "Nepal and India have had a relationship for hundreds of years in many fields, including religion, economy, and culture." Even if we are very close, disagreements and arguments may develop on some matters," he said, "therefore all of these concerns must be dealt politely by both parties. If there is a problem, it should be resolved through negotiation.'
Minister Tamang also stated that the tourism industry will contribute to the reduction of the bilateral trade deficit with India.
Minister Tamang stated that the tourism sector may be a dependable platform for reducing the two countries' trade deficits, and that he intends to manage Pashupati, Nepal's capital, in a systematic manner in accordance with the master plan.
