Applications open for Glocal Teen Hero 2024

KATHMANDU:The application for the tenth edition of 'Golchha Group presents Glocal Teen Hero Nepal 2024' is now open.

For a decade,Glocal Teen Hero, a visionary initiativehas been building a legacy of recognizing teenagerswho are doing something beyond their academicsand providing a platform for their extraordinary talents. Glocal Teen Hero Nepal profoundly recognizes teenagers' initiation, creativity, and enthusiasm, empowering them to catalyze positive change at the intersection of global and local domains.

Turning the page, Glocal Teen Hero was initiated in 2015 to recognize the incredible teenagers of the Kathmandu Valley. By 2016, it expanded nationwide to provide a platform for all teenagers.With a vision of extending its reach to other South Asian countries, Glocal Teen Hero was launched in India, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh in 2019, 2020, and 2022, respectively.The platform is just growing and witnessing outstanding teenagers every passing year from around the world. Now in its 10th year, Glocal Teen Hero is set to accept applications from dedicated, passionate, and innovative teenagers in Nepal to recognize and empower them.

This year, we are targeting to reach 100K+ teenagers covering 50+ cities, and 1000 schools/collegesacross Nepal, from East to West. Glocal Teen Hero is a fully funded program where teenagers from Nepal, aged 13 to 19, can apply online at https://glocalteenhero.com/nepal.Additionally, individuals can nominate remarkable teenagers they know in their community. The application opens today, and the deadline for submission is July 30, 2024. Both participation and nomination applications are available online.

From the total number of applications and document reviews, Glocal’s 20under20 will be selected based on the participants’ initiative, impact, and achievements. The Top Six Finalists will be shortlisted for the final round of Golchha Group Presents Glocal Teen Hero Nepal 2024, based on their vision, attitude, and sustainability of work.

The screening and interviews of the finalists will be conducted by a jury team comprising Ms. Seema Golchha, Director at Golchha Group Pvt. Ltd.; Dr. Ghana S Gurung, Country Representative at WWF Nepal; Ms. Chandrika Kalia, Country Director at Coca-Cola Nepal; Mr. Ashish Tiwari, Director at Ace Institute of ManagementandH.E. Veronique Lorenzo, Ambassador, European Union Delegation to Nepal.
