Thai Airways prepares to fly wide body aircraft on  Bangkok-Kathmandu route  from September 15

KATHMANDU, June 17:THAI Airways International, Thailand's national flag carrier, prepares to operate Boeing 777-200 'wide body aircraft' on the Bangkok-Kathmandu route from September 15.

Thai Airways will employ a Boeing widebody aircraft on one of its two daily flights because to increased passenger volume, according to Society International Travel.

The widebody aircraft will have 30 business class and 262 economy class seats.

The company is currently conducting 14 flights per week, using Airbus 320 series aircraft with a capacity of 162 passengers.

The service resumed on October 29, 2023, with Society International Travel Services serving as the General Sales Agent for Nepal. 

THAI Airways started service to Nepal in 1968, flight from Bangkok to Kathmandu via Calcutta. This half-century-long journey of connecting Nepal to the world and bringing the world to Nepal was halted in March 2022 due to the Covid 19 pandemic.
