All four gates of Pashupatinath temple open

KATHMANDU, June 16: At 4:00 a.m. on Saturday, all four gates to the Pashupatinath Temple were opened.

All four gates to the temple were opened considering the increasing number of devotees, said Pashupatinath Area Development Trust Spokesperson Rewatiraman Adhikari.

Using only one gate is open and three others are opened only after 8:30 am but from Saturdayall four gates will be opened since early morning.

After opening all the four gates, the compulsion of the devotees to stay in long queue is expected to end.

Earlier, the four gates of the Pashupatinath temple were opened from 4:00 am only during major Hindu festivals, like Mahashivratri, Haritalika Teej and Balachaturdashi.
