KATHMANDU, June 15:A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between the Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents (NATTA) and the Tour Operators Association of Bangladesh (TOAB) in Kathmandu on June 13, 2024. This heralds a new era of cooperation aimed at bolstering tourism between Nepal and Bangladesh. This agreement is poised to harness the cultural richness and natural beauty of both countries, encapsulated by the theme "From the Mountain to the Sea."

Central to the MoU are provisions for collaborative initiatives such as organizing familiarization tours to showcase the diverse tourism offerings, joint conferences and seminars to exchange best practices, and coordinated marketing campaigns to amplify the visibility of Nepal and Bangladesh as travel destinations. Additionally, the agreement emphasizes the promotion of Buddhist archaeological sites, underscoring the cultural heritage shared between the two nations.

Mr. Kumarmani Thapaliya, President of NATTA, and Mr. MD Rafeuzzaman, President of TOAB, spoke enthusiastically about the potential of this partnership to attract global tourists.

Mr. Thapaliya highlighted Nepal's allure, encompassing its renowned cuisine, vibrant cultural traditions, comfortable accommodations, and awe-inspiring Himalayan landscapes, all contributing to Nepal's reputation as a destination offering experiences "From the Summit to the Sea."
