"Summit Events Unveils NITE: a revolutionary tourism expo

KATHMANDU, June 14:Summit Events and Markets launches the Nepal International Tourism Expo (NITE) to redefine Nepal's tourism landscape. Bishnu Pandey, the visionary founder and manager of Summit Events and Markets, shared his inspiration behind this monumental event. "In Nepal, we lacked a dedicated platform for travel and tourism business exchanges, development, and promotion. We often had to look abroad for such opportunities. Now, our inspiration is to create this platform right here in Nepal," expressed Pandey.

The expo, hosted at Bhrikutimandap on July 14 and 15, costs Rs. 100 per person to visit. It features a staggering 128 stalls. Representatives from 16 countries, including India, Malaysia, and more, have gathered to showcase their tourism offerings. Kathmandu Metropolitan City has added to the allure with a vibrant cultural display designed to captivate tourists and highlight Nepal's rich heritage. Collaborating closely with the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB), NITE has become a nexus of global tourism expertise.

Today's event had insightful panel discussions on Meeting Incentives Conference and Exhibition (MICE) tourism and adventure tourism. Distinguished panelists including Prof. Dr. Himlal Ghimire, Raj Basu, and Binaya Khadka have brought their expertise to the forefront, engaging audiences with their perspectives and forecasts for the industry.

Looking ahead, the organizers plan to make NITE an annual affair. Tomorrow's announcement will reveal next year's date, with ambitions to expand to 200 stalls and attract participants from beyond South Asia, along with a panel on pilgrimage. This visionary approach aims to solidify NITE's position as a premier global tourism event, setting the stage for even greater international participation and collaboration.
