Unilever Nepal continues its support for the mountain clean-up campaign 2024

KATHMANDU, June 14:Unilever Nepal concluded its 'Clean Mountain-2024'. From 11 April to 5 June, the company collaborated with the Nepali Army's leadership and other government agencies to carry conduct the Mountain Clean-up Campaign 2024.

The company assisted Avani Ventures, the official waste management and recycling partner, recycle the rubbish collected during the campaign. This year's campaign collected more nearly 11,000 kg of waste and the remains of five bodies, including one skeleton, from Everest, Lhotse, and Nutse, according to the company.

In 2021, 2022, and 2023, the company supported the Nepali Army with the Mountain Clean-up Campaign. According to the Nepali Army, more than 180 tons of waste have been collected since the campaign began in 2019, as well as the remains of 12 dead dead bodies have been collected. 

Unilever Nepal stated that it believes that sustainability and transformation must be encouraged and practiced in order to enhance the environment.
