Nepal promotion program concluded in China
KATHMANDU, June 09:The Hotel Association of Nepal estimates that the number of Chinese tourists would increase in the coming days. The group recently organized a tourism promotion initiative in China. The HAN estimates that the number of Chinese tourists would double after the event.
A 75-member Nepali hotel delegation from Nepal, as well as over 100 Chinese tourism professionals, participated in separate programs in Beijing and Chengdu, which were organized with the support of the Nepali Embassy in China, the Nepali Consul General's office in Chengdu, and Nepal Tourism Board.
The ceremony was led by Binayak Shah, President of the Hotel Association Nepal, and the chief guests were Nepali Ambassador to China Bishnu Pukar Shrestha and Chengdu Consul General Suresh Raut. The Nepal Tourism Board gave a presentation.
A B2B meeting was held between a Nepalese delegation and Chinese tourism entrepreneurs.
In terms of celebrating 2025 as the Year of Tourism, the government has prioritized a campaign to increase tourism from neighboring China. The government has stated that Lumbini will be promoted as a 'birthing hub' and 'destination wedding' for Chinese tourists.
The Hotel Association Nepal's 75-member business delegation from all seven provinces returned home on Friday after visiting China on June 7th.
The visit was led by HAN president Binayak Shah and comprised vice president Pravin Bahadur Pandey, Dinesh Tuladhar, general secretary Sajan Shakya, treasurer Youbraj Shrestha, and working committee members Binod Shankar Shrestha, Rajan Shrestha, Rajendra Bhatt, and Laxman Aryal.
Similarly, the directors of the Nepal Tourism Board, Santosh Pant and Sushila Baral, the president and office bearers of the provincial association, hotel owners, general managers, and marketing managers were in present.
