NAC two pilots grounded for violating safety rules
KATHMANDU, June 06:The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN), the country's aviation regulator, has suspended Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) pilots Bijay Lama and Bhawana Panta from 'active duties'.
The CAAN informed them that they have been grounded for the duration of the investigation for violating flight safety regulations at Tribhuvan International Airport.
Ramesh Paudel, spokesperson of NAC stated that the CAAN issued the decision to remove both pilots from the roster.
Panta is the captain of the narrow-body 'Airbus A320', and Lama is the captain of the wide-body 'Airbus A330'.
