Ukrainian aircraft parked at GBIA

BHAIRAHAWA, May 24:A Ukrainian aircraft has landed at Gautam Buddha International Airport in Bhairahawa.

After the exemption of landing and parking fees at Gautam Buddha International Airport in Bhairahawa, aircraft arriving for international flights have begun to park in Bhairahawa when there is a lack of space in Kathmandu.

If they arrive in Kathmandu on a charter airplane and want to return in a few days, they come to Bhairahawa for free landing and parking. Landing and parking in Kathmandu must be paid per hour based on the weight of the aircraft. A plane from a private Ukrainian airline has been parked at Bhairahawa's Gautam Buddha International Airport for the previous six days.

Ukraine's Sky-Up Airlines' Airbus has been parked at the airport for the past six days. The plane landed at Gautam Buddha International Airport on May 19 and will return on May 26, according to Airport Information Officer Binod Raut. Raut stated that there will be no fee for landing or parking any international flight at the airport.

Sky Up operates ten 737 series Airbus aircraft, two with 149 seats and eight with 189 seats. Sky Up is a private airline that was established in Ukraine in June 2017 and also provides charter flights to Nepal.
