Photojournalist Purnima Shrestha scales Everest twice in one week

KATHMANDU, May 19:Purnima Shrestha, a photojournalist, successfully climbed Mount Everest twice in one week. Shrestha reached the peak of Everest for the third time on Sunday at 3:55 a.m. She completed her second successful climb of Mount Everest eight days ago (on May 12). Within a week, she had reached the summit of Everest for the second time.

Shrestha previously scaled Mount Everest on the first time in 2018. Shrestha, who is on a journey to climb 14 summits above 8,000 meters in the world, ascended K2, Pakistan's second highest peak in July.

She has climbed seven 8,000-meter-high mountains in Nepal.
